“Founded with goal to help ordinary people excel, The Hope Center has become a powerful resource for the local community to thrive and prosper.”
Pastor John Finney II, often known as Pastor J, saw the need for business owners, neighborhood leaders, and staples in the community to encourage and influence the upcoming generation. With the help and support of the city behind him, The Hope Center for Community Empowerment came to be.
Focusing on inner city youth and young adults. The Hope Center has set out to increase community support through collaborative efforts and mentoring in order to reduce crimes against women and children. The Hope Center believes that these initiatives will promote self esteem, cultural pride, and self-awareness and knowledge that will combat poverty and reduce crimes, gang violence, and the like. One of the major goals of the Hope Center is to provide youth and young adults the opportunity to witness and experience various cultures first hand by sponsoring trips to countries like, Kenya, Egypt, Israel, and many others.
